One afternoon in November I made a trip to Little Lagoon Pass. The Gulf water was just gorgeous with the different colors! A sandbar not too far out was the resting place for several pelicans and many gulls and terns. I got low to the ground and was able to get some good shots of pelicans landing and taking off. One was on the beach and let me get close. In fact,it was hard to fit the juvenile brown pelican's head in the frame! No crops on that! As I was going back to the parking lot I just happened to look up to the top of a street light and got the shot of the red tailed hawk. That was a very pleasant surprise!
